Robot Raygun.... Artwork of Kelly Pound...

I want to start with some of my favorite quotes from a gentleman by the name of Wally. I really think he doesn't like the RoboScout.. But then again...

Here are some of his quotes:

TO FIX IT TRY HITTING HIS HEAD WITH A HAMMER A FEW
TIMES THAT SHOULD WORK
WALYTREK

GET RID OF IT BEFORE IT ALL BREAKS DOWN

GET RID OF IT SOON OR MORE PARTS WILL BREAK

GET RID OF IT BEFORE IT BREAKS. NO PARTS OR SERVICE
AVAILABLE ANY MORE.

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR ROBOSCOUT IS DYING. BURY IT SOON
YOU WILL.
--- WALLY L <walytrek@y...>

And Finally responses to some of my email:

I SOLD MINE BEFORE IT BROKE DOWN AS THEY HAVE TOO MANY
FLAWS IN MFG. GEARS TEETH BREAKING, BELTS BREAKING,
ETC.GOOD LUCK WITH YOURS.

VERY INTERESTING MR FRANKENSTEIN BUT IF I WERE YOU
SELL THE HORRID CREATURE AND TAKE A NICE VACATION
USING THE MONEY. THE ROBOTSCOUT WILL TERMINATE ITSELF
SOON WITH LITTLE HOPE OF RECOVERY.

Keep up the good work Wally... Every newsgroup "Needs" a agitator. ;>)

With That I Bring You.... How to replace a drive belt....

First I suggest to get the blueprints from the Robotscout Yahoo group. the prints help when visualizing what you need to do when taking the robot apart. (more importantly putting it back together).

Poor dude was a little dusty when I started...

First thing I did was to remove his dome and set it aside..

Remove the four screws from the back. At the start of any project it good to be organized. I suggest a Ice cube tray to place your screws and label where they came from. It avoids the left over parts syndrome.
